Chris W. Edwards

Attorney

Chris W. Edwards, a native of Greenville, founded Edwards Law, LLC in March 2014 with the mission of providing client-centered representation and counseling in a select few areas of the law.  Chris has experience in a variety of practice areas but chooses to focus his practice on real estate, wills and probate administration.

Prior to establishing Edwards Law, LLC, Chris practiced real estate, personal injury, social security disability, business law and criminal defense at Farnsworth Law Offices. During law school, Chris clerked at the highly regarded personal injury firm of Reynolds, McArthur and Horne (now Reynolds, Horne and Survant) in Macon, GA.

In his previous career, Chris spent almost a decade as a college baseball coach with stops at Anderson College, Presbyterian College and Furman University where he coached and recruited All-Americans and numerous players that went on to play professional baseball and tallied victories against such opponents as UGA, Tennessee and Clemson.

Chris received his JD from the University of South Carolina. While in law school, Chris was awarded the Cali Award in Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation as the top student in his class. Also, Chris received his MBA from Clemson University and his BS in Business from Anderson College.

In addition to practicing law, Chris has taught numerous classes in Economics at the University of South Carolina Upstate. When he’s not working, Chris enjoys playing golf and spending time with his friends and family.

Lindsey Henderson Trotter

Attorney

Lindsey Henderson Trotter was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is the daughter of a successful business banker as well as a business owner. She attended the University of Central Florida and majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. After graduation, she decided to trade one beach for another and obtain her Juris Doctor at the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. At the Charleston School of Law, she was a merit scholarship recipient, CALI Award Winner, served as Social Chair on the Student Bar Association, and was an active member of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

Lindsey moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2017 and discovered her passion for real estate law. Lindsey combines her experience in real estate with her background in finance, psychology, and law, to create a uniquely, curated experience for clients during their closing.

Lindsey is married to her husband, Grant, and they both love to spoil their fur-babies, Cooper and Ace. You can often see them walking their dogs in downtown Greenville. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys reading, attending concerts, watching movies, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Lindsey is an active member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church. Her other passions include advocating for animal rights, supporting charities, and volunteering

Lianne Thompson

Managing Paralegal / Closer

Lianne coordinates all real estate matters in our office and deals directly with lenders. Additionally, she schedules all real estate transactions.

Lianne started her career in real estate while in middle school working summers at a title company in New York where she learned the basics of title insurance. Lianne continued to advance through the positions at the title insurance company while receiving her degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance and Information Systems from SUNY Albany. She managed the companies closing department that handled 150+ closings a month. Her final position was in the company’s marketing department. For the year prior to moving to South Carolina Lianne managed a call center for a mortgage broker.

Lianne and her husband moved to Greenville in 2004 for his job. Since moving she has worked for firms large and small as a real estate paralegal. She has also sold real estate as a licensed agent. Lianne has over 25 years of experience in the industry.

When Lianne is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and enjoying the outdoors.

Felicia Ordan

Closing Concierge (Pre Closing)

Felicia is the point of contact for Agents, Buyers and Sellers. She collects all information for closing including payoffs, invoices, HOA, and buyer/seller information.

Felicia was born and raised in Texas. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2011. After being in the Food & Beverage industry for almost 20 years, Felicia decided to make a change and go back to school to become a paralegal. Felicia graduated from Trident Technical College in 2015 and quickly began her new career as a Family Law Paralegal. Felicia fell in love with the job immediately and enjoys communicating and connecting with clients on a new and elevated level.

While living in Charleston, Felicia met her now husband Jesse. Jesse’s career moved them to Raleigh, Charlotte, and eventually Greenville. Felicia continued her career as a paralegal working in both Family Law and Real Estate Law. It was in 2018 that Felicia became a part of the Edwards Law team.

Felicia has taken her skills from the F&B industry and applied them to her position as a paralegal. She enjoys connecting with clients on a professional as well as personal level. In her spare time Felicia enjoys weekend trips to the mountains, hiking, reading, and painting.

Tammie Lambert

Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal

Tammie coordinates Estate Planning and Probate appointments. She’s also been greeting our clients at the front door of Edwards Law since the beginning.

Tammie graduated with a Paralegal degree from Greenville Technical College. She began her career as an insurance adjuster handling workers’ compensation claims. She then took a few years off to focus on being a full-time wife and mother. Once she returned to work, she took a job as a paralegal handling workers’ compensation litigation and criminal defense. She is now the office manager for Edwards Law, LLC.

When Tammie is not at the office, she enjoys working out at the gym, practicing yoga and spending time with her family and friends.

Kelly Laney

Post Closing Coordinator

Kelley handles closing files during and after a closing. She sends funding documents for funding authorization, records documents, handles disbursements, and mails final title policies and original.

Kelley has enjoyed (spent / worked) the last 14 years working with seasoned professionals in the real estate industry. Learning from the ground up as a personal assistant, listing coordinator, closing coordinator, office manager, office coordinator and a licensed real estate agent with real estate firms in Myrtle Beach, SC and Greer, SC.

Kelley and her husband moved to Greenville, SC in 2018 to be closer to their children and for work. In early 2020 she made a lateral career move as a post-closing coordinator with the Chris Edwards Law Firm in Greenville, SC.

Outside of work, Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband and kids.

Lindsey joined our firm in July of 2021. Lindsey graduated from Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. While attending school full-time, she worked part-time for a real estate attorney. She became so interested in this field of law, that she decided she wanted to pursue a full-time paralegal career in it. She now works in our title department.

Lindsey moved to South Carolina from Athens, Georgia, because her husband, Austin, and his family have a farm in Laurens County. Most of her family still lives back in Athens, Georgia, except for her twin brother who lives in Florida.

When Lindsey is not working, she spends time with her husband and fur baby, Finley. They like to go out on the lake with friends during the summer and up to the family cabin in North Carolina when it gets cold. As often as she can, she goes back to Georgia to see family and friends.

Kayla Campbell

Closing Paralegal

Kayla works closely with the Managing Paralegal and lenders to finalize closing documents.

Kayla was born and raised in Greenville, SC. She graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Paralegal studies in May of 2019. Kayla began her career in the legal field while still in school, working part time at a real estate firm. Which is where she realized she enjoyed real estate law and wanted to pursue a career in this field. Once Kayla graduated, she began working full time as a real estate paralegal at that same firm. She then took a couple years off to focus on being a full- time wife and mother. Once she was ready to return to work, she wanted to get right back into working in real estate doing what she enjoys. She became a part of the Edwards Law team in March 2022.

When Kayla is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
